District Goals

The following goals were developed from the recommendations made by the East Ramapo Board of Education, its administrative staff, and the District-Wide Shared Decision-Making Team.

 

GOAL 1: SCHOOLS & PARENTS
 

The East Ramapo Central School District, in collaboration with parents, will launch a major initiative to create a stronger parent-school partnership based on open communication and mutual trust. Each school will be  responsible for developing a plan of action to achieve this goal.

 

GOAL 2: ORGANIZATION & STRUCTURE
 

The East Ramapo Central School District will structure a flexible organization that reflects the needs of students and supports the best possible education as to services, environment and opportunity.  

 

GOAL 3: EDUCATIONAL PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT & OUTCOMES
 

The East Ramapo Central School District, in conjunction with the site-based/shared education decision making teams, will develop a comprehensive PreKindergarten through twelfth-grade educational plan designed to make all students productive members of our global society.

 

GOAL 4: EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
 

The East Ramapo Central School District will develop processes and seek resources to enhance support activities in the district that have as the primary focus the total academic, learning styles, social, emotional and physical developmental need of students, and which will ensure that every student receives an equitable educational opportunity.

 

GOAL 5: SCHOOL & COMMUNITY
 

The East Ramapo Central School District will promote the integration of services, programs and resources of the school, community, and businesses to support and enhance the educational initiatives and goals of the district.

 

GOAL 6: FINANCIAL SUPPORT
 

The East Ramapo Central School District will pursue new financial and human resources to carry out the goals of the district. All new and existing resources will be utilized in the most cost-effective manner.

 

GOAL 7: EVALUATION
 

The East Ramapo Central School District will apply the Values, Vision and Mission Statement as one of the criteria in the evaluation of its programs and staff.
