Public Information Meeting on the Budget

As you have probably heard, the 2005-2006 budget was defeated on May 17^th.  Unofficially, there were 4,639 yes votes and 7,232 no votes.  By law, three options are open to us.  We may:

submit a revised budget to voters;

resubmit the same budget to voters;

adopt an austerity budget;

No matter how you voted on May 17^th, we urge you to come to the public information meeting May 31^st and express your views (or write us if you cannot attend that night).

On the following Tuesday evening, June 7^th, at the Board of Education’s Regular Meeting, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Levy/Anderson Education Center, the Board of Education will determine how it will proceed.
