ALL NEW BIDS WILL BE POSTED TO THE DISTRICT'S NEW WEBSITE

 


THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE EAST RAMAPO CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, 105 SOUTH MADISON AVENUE, SPRING VALLEY, NEW YORK, ROCKLAND COUNTY, 10977 (in accordance with Section 103 of Article 30A of the General Municipal Law) hereby invites the submission of sealed bids on the following:

 

BID #17-07  -  TI-84 PLUS EZ-SPOT GRAPHING CALCULATOR

 

Sealed bids will be received until May 2, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at the Offices of the Board of Education, 105 South Madison Avenue, Spring Valley, NY 10977 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read.

 

Specifications and bid form may be obtained at the Purchasing Office. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Any bid submitted will be binding for 90 days subsequent to the date of bid opening.

The Board of Education invites bids for GENERAL CONSTRUCTION  AND PLUMBING CONSTRUCTION work for the East Ramapo Central School District Central in 14 school buildings.  The General Construction work is in all buildings.  The plumbing work is only at the Grandview Elementary School.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education, at the Purchasing Office, 105 South Madison Street, Spring Valley, NY, until 1:00 p.m. of May 1, 2007, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. 

 

Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Engineer, Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C., 291 Genesee Street, Utica, New York 13501, telephone (315) 735-1916, fax (315) 735-6365.  Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at that office upon deposit of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) per set.  A Bidder whose bid is accompanied by a certified check or other security in accordance with the bidding requirements and public advertisement and who returns a complete set of Bidding Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract covered by such Bidding Documents, or the rejection of such bid, shall receive a refund of the full amount of the deposit for one (1) copy of the Bidding Documents

Prospective subcontractors and material suppliers may obtain Bidding Documents they require by payment of printing and mailing costs.

 A pre-bid conference and on-site review of the Project areas will be conducted by the Architect on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 commencing at 11a.m. at the Spring Valley Senior High School, 361 Route 59, Spring Valley, New York. 

 

Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders.  These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. 

 

Bids shall be prepared as set forth in “Instructions to Bidders”, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates.

 

Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the “Instructions to Bidders.”

 

No Bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual bid opening.

 

The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.

 

The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the “Instructions to Bidders” and “Supplementary Instructions to Bidders.”
